Calling Dr. Unkdial...

What is this? dr.unkdial.me is an experimental party game that lets anyone leave a message for us to enjoy.
Why the freaking long number? dr.unkdial.me is built on top of drop.io, a brilliant free file-sharing tool. The long number is just how they do it. If you know how to do this better, let's talk. It's a Brooklyn number, so, you know, standard rates apply.
Is it really anonymous? It's as anonymous as you are. Your phone number isn't stored or anything, but if you tell us your full name, city, and significant details, your deniability becomes significantly less plausible.
What if I say something I regret? Or what if someone else is really, really, offensive? Can I make a message go away? Sure. Here's how: go into the drop and leave a comment on your message saying "delete this please!" and I'll do it right away. If other people have downloaded it, though, I can't really do anything about that.
Why all these two-second long silent calls? Annoying. I know. My guess is that people are calling the number to store it in their phone for later. I try to delete them as quickly as they come, but occasionally they slip through for a day or two.
Can I comment on the calls? Sure, I'd love for you to. You'll have to go right to the drop.
Why can't I vote, rate, feature... ? Why is the interface so ... ? I'd love to team up with a programmer to make this better. Drop.io has an API, so I figure that we could integrate the voicemails into our own CMS somehow... or use Ribbit or something... if you're the right person and want to join forces, let's talk.
Aren't there legal issues here somewhere? Probably. I can't afford a lawyer or anything, so for now I hope it suffices for me to say: if you call, you are consenting to have your message be freely available to the subscribers and visitors of dr.unkdial.me if you ask to have your call deleted, I'll do it promptly but not immediately I'm not responsible for what you choose to say, or whatever problems, personal or professional, might occur from you saying it, no matter how drunk you are all views expressed are those of the callers and do not represent me or dr.unkdial.me
How do I save the number? It has an extension! Modern phones usually have a way to insert a pause into a number when you're storing it. On an iPhone, you press the +*# key (when you're in contacts, not the phone) and you'll get to choose 'pause'. Usually one pause is sufficient. I'm not sure about other phones, but it should be similarly easy.
What do I say when I call? Really? Sing a song. Make a wish. Pick a fight. Spill your guts. Be a genius.
Who made this? Hi, I'm Elliot Cole.
